 MPBA insurance recommended.


"Carnaby Lake" Bridlington, East Riding of Yorkshire. Lake owned by Bridlington Model Boat Society  Permanent multi course with rescue facilities, lake available 24/7. Membership of club required before sailing, contact membership secretary as on website.

 

"Orton Mere" - Ferry Meadows, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. Multimap. Orton Mere. From A1 north or south leave at exit Alwalton/ East of England Showground  take A605 Oundle Road to Orton Longville, entrance to Orton Mere is two miles on left.

I.C. Boats are restricted to  MONDAY  -  WEDNESDAY  - FRIDAY,  10-00am to 8-00pm - or dusk whichever is sooner
SATURDAY  -  10-00am to 6-00pm - or dusk. Usual Club I.C. Sailing times are Saturday afternoon.
Maximum Daily Sailing Time Allowed is 5 Hours. 
No Restriction on other types of boats  -  and therefore all types welcome.  MPBA noise levels adhered to.
Permanent "M" shaped course laid out. Wadeable -  maximum depth 1 metre
Sloping rocky edges to lake - but purpose built landing stage. Parking at lakeside.
No facilities or shelter - as it is on top of exposed hill, can be very cold and windy.
 
"Brentwood Lake" Nr Brentwood, Essex.  Map  Brentwood Lake. From M25 take A12 towards Chelmsford, take first exit B1002 towards Mountnessing, take turning immediately through white gates on left into Fitzwater Farm. Lake is 200 yards on left.

Rother Valley Country Park, South Yorkshire. On outskirts of Sheffield near Killamarsh.
Public park with large model boating lake, payment required to enter park. No local club. No rescue facilities.

 

Birkenhead Lake, Gautby RoadBirkenhead,   Wirral.    Map

Elmbridge.  Thorpe Lea Modelling Centre (Crabtree Lake) Egham, Surrey.  Map M25 North or South, leave at junction 13 and follow signs A30 for Egham at roundabout under M25 (on A30) turn left into Egham, at next roundabout (police station) turn left, over level crossing and at next roundabout left onto another roundabout take 2nd left, entrance to lake is about ½ mile (200 yards past openspeed limit sign) on right.
Only open to members, 365 days a year, all types catered for, safety & rescue equipment available on site at all times.
Two types of membership. Single section 'country' at £50/year no voting rights, or full membership @ £45/per year + £90 registration fee (payable over 3 years) with full rights.

Maidstone Cygnets: Mote Park, Maidstone. Kent. Map From M20 J7 follow signs leading to Maidstone town centre. After the third roundabout (Chiltern Hundreds pub), bear left at 3rd set of traffic lights. Ford Main Dealer on left). Turn right at next set of lights, then first left into Mote Avenue. Entrance to the park is straight ahead.
Club membership required or day permit (limited to 4 per year) Boating times are Tues to Fri 13.00 to 20.00 Sat/Sun 10.00 to 18.00, Monday no boating. Boating restricted to designated area, no Hydro's no Air boats.

Kingsbury,  Kingsbury Water Park, Nr Tamworth, Warwickshire.  Map Access to park costs £2.50 or annual permit available. From south leave M6 at J4, follow A446 through Coleshill to large roundabout (M42 J9), turn right onto A4097 sign posted Water Park, at the next roundabout turn left, entrance is half a mile on the right. From north leave M6 J4A and join M42 northbound, leave at J9, then as from south.
Available 7 days a week, membership of Kingsbury Club not compulsory but membership does give access to on site rescue facilities.

Burton on Trent, Staffordshire. Branston Water Park.  Map  Branston Water Park is situated on the northbound carriageway of A38 just south of Burton. Follow A38 Lichfield signs, follow Branston Ind Estate signs to Walton/Barton flyover, exit left at Happy Eater, cross bridge, rejoin A38 north for Burton, 1 mile take Branston Ind Estate service road, follow to end, turn into Water Park at Leavsley container Depot. From Lichfield follow A38 north and signs from Barton/Walton.
